As you know, production of our Sighthound Tales scarves has begun, and they’ll be arriving very soon.
We live in a time when we’re used to having everything right away, even things we’ll probably never use. We, instead, chose another direction: to slow down.
Fast fashion pushes us to buy quickly, without thinking too much, promising we’ll always be “on trend.”
But behind this rush hides a darker side:
For the environment, with massive production, wasted resources, and tons of clothes ending up in landfills after only a short time;
For those who wear them, with garments that wear out too soon and never have the chance to become part of our story, because we’re already drawn to something new.
Getting everything fast may feel exciting, but it takes away the true value of what we wear.
We’re offered quantity — but at what cost? At the cost of quality.
And so we asked ourselves: is there another way to make fashion, one that’s more respectful and mindful?

Those who’ve followed us from the beginning know that Sighthound Tales was born from the adoption of Terence.
We waited almost two months before he arrived: weeks of preparation, research, and learning about his breed.
It wasn’t wasted time, it was precious time.
When the day finally came, everything felt natural, as if he had always been with us.

Buongiorno a tutti e bentrovati!
Come sapete, la produzione dei foulard di Sighthound Tales è partita e manca poco al loro arrivo.
Viviamo in un periodo in cui siamo abituati ad avere tutto e subito — anche cose che spesso non useremo mai.
Noi, invece, abbiamo scelto un’altra direzione: rallentare.
La fast fashion ci spinge a comprare in fretta, senza pensarci troppo, con la promessa di essere sempre “al passo con le tendenze”.
Ma dietro questa corsa si nasconde un lato oscuro:
Per l’ambiente, con produzioni massicce, spreco di risorse e tonnellate di abiti che finiscono in discarica dopo pochissimo tempo;
Per chi li indossa, con capi che si rovinano presto e non fanno in tempo a diventare parte della nostra storia, perché siamo già attratti da qualcos’altro di nuovo.
Ricevere tutto in velocità può sembrare bello, ma toglie valore a ciò che indossiamo. Ci viene offerta quantità, ma a quale prezzo? Quello della qualità. E allora ci siamo chiesti: esiste un altro modo di fare moda, più rispettoso e consapevole?

È proprio da questa riflessione che nasce la nostra scelta di seguire la slow fashion.

Chi ci segue dall’inizio sa che Sighthound Tales nasce dall’adozione di Terence. Abbiamo aspettato quasi due mesi prima che arrivasse: settimane di preparativi, ricerche, scoperta della sua razza. Un’attesa che non è stata uno spreco, ma un tempo prezioso. Quando finalmente è arrivato, tutto è stato naturale, come se lo avessimo sempre avuto.
La scelta di acquistare uno dei nostri foulard — proprio come quella di adottare un cane — non nasce da un capriccio, ma da una consapevolezza: quella di scegliere qualcosa che ha valore, che dura, e che racconta una storia fatta di tempo, cura e rispetto.
Ogni foulard di Sighthound Tales è un piccolo viaggio: nasce lentamente, cresce con cura e arriva per restare.
