The Courage to Change

A Slow Transformation

Hello everyone, and welcome back!

Spring has arrived, and with it that subtle desire to change, to start anew. Like plants coming back to life after the cold. Like the galgos who are slowly learning to trust a new world.

In our last post, we told you about Terence and how he’s adapting to his new life. That’s where we want to start today: with adaptation, change, and the courage it requires.

Change isn’t easy. It’s something that takes courage, because we’re diving into something we’ve never tried before, something we know nothing about. We live in a world that has accustomed us to having everything immediately, and waiting feels foreign to us, almost wrong.

A question sparked by Terence’s arrival

Terence came into our lives and brought with him a silent question: what are we really paying attention to? A former racing galgo doesn’t need much. He needs space, calm, and consistency. Watching him has taught us to look differently at the things we buy, produce, and keep. We’ve often asked ourselves: do we really need this? Does it truly represent us? Many times, the answer has been no. We’ve always tried to think outside the box that today’s fashion imposes on us. We realized we’d fallen into a vicious cycle: items bought, used once, then forgotten at the back of a closet.

Admitting that we no longer want to follow this philosophy takes courage. Especially because we’re afraid of being judged: by those who expect you to follow the rules, to keep up, to not ask questions. Those who choose differently know all too well what it means to feel out of place. But it is precisely in that moment of discomfort that something more authentic begins.

What you need is

Courage

Following a new philosophy takes courage. Especially because we’re afraid of being judged.

The desire to transform

This is how our idea of fashion has transformed. It wasn’t an immediate change: first came doubt, then exploration, and finally the decision to do things differently. Moving from fast fashion to something slower and more mindful doesn’t just mean changing materials or suppliers. It means changing our perspective. Accepting that an item can be worth more—not in economic terms, but in terms of time, care, and intention.

The real challenge is this: making people understand that change doesn’t come from an imposition, but from the desire to tell a story we truly want to be a part of. Not following fashion because we have to, but choosing it because it represents us. At first, it’s scary, because it’s uncharted territory. But that’s also where we find something more authentic.

The next time you buy something, pause for a second.

Ask yourself: does this thing say something about me? Or am I buying it just because it’s there, because it’s cheap, because everyone has it?

True change makes no noise

Sometimes it’s enough to take the first step, even when you can’t see the rest of the road.

True change makes no noise. It arrives quietly, like Terence on the couch, one day it’s there and it feels like it’s always been that way. You don’t need to know where you’re going. Sometimes it’s enough to take the first step, even when you can’t see the rest of the road.

Perhaps the real question isn’t whether that object says something about us, but whether we’re truly willing to go against the grain.

Il Coraggio di cambiare

Una lenta trasformazione

Buongiorno a tutti e bentrovati!

All'inizio fa paura, perché è territorio sconosciuto.
